Guest guest
Hi Bella, The below post was encouraging to me. I just recently was shown the Eat Fat and Grow Slim site. Therefore, I have been trying to increase the percentage of fat in my diet and decease my carbs. I must need to balance my protein better, because I get constipated at times. My favorite meal now is fatty lamb chops with a lg. salad and a glass of moo-moo. Yet, this doesn't feel like 'dieting' to me (that dirty word) and I've been wondering if I will actually lose weight by eating this way? All those years of being told 'Fat' is the culprit of weight gain is hard to let die in the subconscious. Thanks for sharing! I needed to hear that actually eating fat does allow for one to be lean. I love veggies, so there is no problem eating lots of those, since I was on a vegan diet in the years past. It's just been getting over the feeling of guilt for eating fat and having the family look at me cock-eyed when I do. I too am 5'6 " tall and would love to be as light as you are, but the lowest I've been, even on a fruitarian diet is 136 lbs. Now, after having this giant baby I have a long ways to go to even get back to that weight. BTW, he now weights over 18 lbs. and he's only going to be 3 months old on the 6th of Feb. He's one solid baby! I've been supplementing him with the formula in NT and he loves it! Here is the url to the Eat Fat and Grow Slim site: http://www.ourcivilisation.com/fat/index.htm http://www.ourcivilisation.com/fat/guide.htm Chart Be well, Robin P.S. I would also love to hear more about your 'diet'. Are you familiar with SuperSlow? <<Bella, I am a woman that works out hard and has been eating an NT type diet(although I hate to use the term diet) and feels healthy and energetic. I'm not sure what my body fat percentage is but I am lean. I play around with the percentage of carbs, if I go too low, I get palpitations, if my protein is too high, i get constipated. I just figure ouut what works best for me. I'm liberal with fats, and I feel best eating more vegetables than average. I try and eat protein and fat at every meal. If I travel it gets harder to keep my protein intake at levels I'm used to because I won't eat animal food of poor quality. I also don't use supplements and I stay away from soy (I developed hypothyroid IMO as a result of a lowfat high carb macrobiotic diet.) I was supposed to have my body fat percentage measured and am waiting to do so any day now. It takes about a week and a half to do right? My tranier says I need to measdure it over the course of a wek because it fluctuates. BTW I am 5 feet 6 inches and between 105-107 pounds. >>
