Guest guest Posted February 3, 2003 Report Share Posted February 3, 2003 now I ran in the same problem with hazelnuts as you did. To skin them as NT suggests, I would have to roast them. Do you consider that more important than keeping them raw and the enzymes intact? Hazelnuts originate from Europe, the plant itself played and still plays an important part in old rituals. Do you think my ancestors did not eat them raw? How ironic, by the way, that I had to come to America in order to learn about how my ancestral food originally was prepared (although I find that we still do a lot that way).
