Guest guest
It sounded like a good idea. Soap does teach us alittle bit of patience but I think it also teaches to keep trying new things. barbW > I tried that once. What a mess! Guest guest
Can anyone recommend a company where I can by a reasonably priced food dehydrator. I also see ones that are square, round, two tray, multi-level trays, etc. since it looks like many of you dehydrate foods, which ones would you recommend. also since I get digest form and don't always read - could you also respond to me personaly at sknapinsky@... Thanks. Sophia
Guest guest
I would enjoy hearing what ideas others have for putting in the food dehydrator. Guest guest
Hi, Deanna ... what ideas are you working on already? I use two dehydrators 4-5 days per week. There is always something to preserve. It is a fantastic way to, not only preserve, but to actually make many things, i.e., crackers, etc. as well as non-edible items like Christmas dough ornaments/decorations. Tell me what ideas you currently have and if I have others I'll let you know. Guest guest
I'm drying more things every year. This year I have 15 gallon jars worth of dried apples, some pears and peaches. My dh like to have a handful of dried fruit at the end of a meal. Apples are plentiful and cheap and pears or peaches are worth their weight in gold, they're like candy. I'm trying out green beans and cabbage to add to soups. I also use my dryer to make my own stiffneck garlic powder- yum!! I was going to dry some tomatoes, but I got a bit carried away with sauce.
