Wouldn't you want to be told, if you didn't know?

Maybe not before you knew -- then, you might just experience it as an

annoyance.

But if you could know, before you knew, and knew you wouldn't know unless

somebody told you, wouldn't you want to be told?

Am I making any sense here?
