I won't go into it on this list, but if you're looking for more info on the various types of plans, from Schwarzbien to Paleo (I'm on paleo), you could do worse than look here: http://66.179.66.21 (lowcarbeating.net) They're in the process of moving home, so the site might be a bit flaky at times. I'd be happy to discuss lc'ing (as I'm sure Jo would), with anyone who's considering it, offlist. Or on, if people want. <g> Btw, Brown Cow yogurt rawks! Guest guest
Hi , Try this. low-carbchatter/ If it doesn't work send me a personal email at judith@... and I will subscribe you. This is my list, and, as the title suggests, it is a chat list that need not adhere strictly to diet. So many things can affect weight loss so I decided that I did not want a " strict " list. And people on all sorts of diets are welcome. The only subject I discourage is religion because it's such a hot topic. The list is new and still small so not a lot of traffic. Even if you do not want to do Atkins long term, if you are having a hard time with carbs I might suggest that you do the Atkins induction plan for two weeks. It gets you off the carbs and started in the right direction for weight loss. Enjoy! ;-) Judith Alta -----Original Message----- Hi, I have the Schwarzbien book have had it for a while but still am having problems getting started, carbs call me by name, they love me, HELP, I have the know how Maybe I need to find a diet forum, are any off you belong to a diet encouragement group?? Guest guest
You have to be very strict with yourself at the begining otherwise it's hard to break the carb addiction, especially if you have allergies that might be causing a worse craving than just habit. When I started I used two amino acids to help overcome the cravings. L-glutamine and DPLA both helped me. They just take the edge of the strong cravings you can get. Guest guest
Yes it's the d and l forms of phenylalanine (I don't know if I've spelled that correctly!). It's also good for chocolate addiction. And it should have been DLPA of course not DPLA.
