Guest guest
i conducted a double blind placebo controlled study on my raw goat yogurt yesterday. well, actually i fed it and the placebo (seven stars yogurt) to 2 people with their eyes closed...that qualifies, doesn't it? :-p INTRODUCTION There's a lot of speculation in the literature that raw goat yogurt may taste better and have a more appealing consistency than commercial cow milk yogurt. but no controlled studies have yet been conducted. the purpose of this study was to test this hypothesis. MATERIALS AND METHODS Seven Stars Farm yogurt (SSFY) Sunset Acre's Farm raw goat milk (SAFRGM) Ball jar (BJ) soup pot (SP) oven (O) oven light (OL) refrigerator ® Around mid-morning 3 Tbsp. of SSFY was added to 1 qt. SAFRGM in a BJ and placed in a SP, which was then placed in an O with the OL on. Sometime in the night, the BJ was removed from the O and placed in the R. The next day, the resulting product was fed to two healthy volunteers (well, actually they both have colds). the placebo - SSFY was also fed to the volunteers (who had their eyes closed). DISCUSSION mom preferred the seven stars, BUT, dad's response was " hands down, no comparison " for the goat yogurt! that was also my response. we both also tend to be healthier than mom. CONCLUSION Raw homemade goat yogurt is better than commercial cow yogurt, according to 66% of the fisher family members tested. it is also preferred by healthier individuals, therefore must be healthier than commercial cow milk yogurt. do you suppose i could get this published in the next issue of " wise traditions " ??
