Guest guest
Our organic, raw milk guy out in Lapeer just got a cream seperator. We picked up some ($10/quart). Oddly, it was hard like butter in the jar, even after sitting out all day. Pure fat & tasty. We went through the butter making process anyway & only got a few tablespoons of liquid out of 1 qt. Do you think he just ran it through the seperator too long and ended up making butter instead of cream? Either way, it's cool. p.s. His milk price is $4/gal, I wonder if he used 2.5 gal of milk to make a quart of cream/butter? -
