Guest guest
Greetings Kareen, I cannot tell you what meant by her post (I'm sure she'll do that herself), but I can tell you what I understood her post to say. I understood her to say that any definition of what or who God is that we have on the planet Earth today was constructed by human beings, like you or me. Because the people of this world are many and diverse, we have many and diverse definitions of God. However, when you delve beneath the variations in our definitions and get to the core, fundamental concept behind God, what we all seem to agree upon is that the power, force, or knowingness that we connect to, however we call it, is Love. If you look up " fundamental " like I just did on www.merriamwebster.com, you see that the first definition says, " serving as an original or generating force. " So, I understood to say that Love is the " original or generating force " that we connect to and that Love is the genesis for our concept of God. Welcome to Immunics. Thanks for asking this question and getting me to experience the Love that is at the core of all things this morning in writing my reply. Here's a page you can peruse to get some other ideas: http://www.wayimmune.org/colleague/skill11/godspir.htm Love, (and I really mean that) Moira *************************** , I'm new to this group, and I'm learning. This post you sent bothered me because it doesn't fit with what I've read so far. Do immuners not believe that God is our creator, that he's just a creation of our own imagination? That doesn't make sense to me. Guest guest
Love it! One of the best definitions of God was by the anglo-Irish playwright and author, Bernard Shaw, who said:- Man has made God in his own image. One mystic (I can't remember his name) wrote that the nearest we can get to describing God is to think of the sun, which is always shining - even when there are clouds;- and, of course, without the sun there would be nothing! Love and regards Hammer kareen@... wrote: Greetings Kareen, I cannot tell you what meant by her post (I'm sure she'll do that herself), but I can tell you what I understood her post to say.
