Guest guest
Hi guys, Thanks for all of the replies to my questions. Sorry it took me so long to respond but the flu bug hit me and even now I find it hard to sit at my computer more then a few minutes at a time. I will try to answer your questions. Concerning my adopted status, I have tried to petition the courts in Tarrant county TX where I was born & adopted, to have my records opened but the judges reply was for me to hire a Confidential Inter-mediator (CI) and my records would be turned over to her/him. Absolutely no information would be turned over to me, not even my birth mother's initials, until my birth mother is found and gives her written consent to the court. Well, in 1995 I did all of this and shelled out my life's savings only to come up with nothing. I complained to the judge and was told to pay out more money for a new CI, blah blah blah..... Get the picture. Yes I explained my medical condition and got the feeling from the judges lack of concern that he could care less. In Texas adoption is big bucks and the big supporters of " The Right to Confedentiality for birth mother's " are the big spenders who put these types of Judges in office, namely the REPUBLICANS in Ft. Worth and Edna Gladney adoption centers. I saw someone ask about the ringing in their ears... I have that too. Have had it for years. The last time I saw a doctor about it he just told me I was getting old, I was 34 years old at the time. Also I have had awful luck with finding a doctor to give me help. I have been to 3 different neuros and have had 4 emgs and have been drained of so much body fluid I should be wrinkled like a prune. But after they are unable to come up with a definate diagnoses I get the old brush off. One even told me back to school and learn a new profession. I spent 4 years in Collage got my liberal arts degree and then spent another 3 years in culinary school to become a chef. I worked as a chef and a restruant manager for 30 years until I married 6 years ago and moved to a small rual town were my husband works, Now that my legs can' t hold me up for long periods and my feet burn and I trip a lot, this doctor tells me to go back to school. To say that I am in a depressed mood at this point is a total understatement. Is anyone out there applied for Social Security disability? Thanks again for the responses, Jeannie
