Total (IPPs) 6365 MW4. Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission KANUPP 137 MW CHASNUPP-1 325 MW Total (Nuclear) 462 MW Hydal Electricity generated by WAPDA varies between two extremities of 2414 MW & 6761 MW depending upon the annual river flow.Total Power Generation Capacity of Pakistan (all resources) is 19855 MW.

The electricity demand (as of today 20-04-2010) is 14500 MW and PEPCO is merely generating 10000 MW.It is obvious that 15-20 hrs power shutdowns in the country are not because of the lack of generation capacity but only because of IMF / World Bank policies implemented on our nation by our own Government.

The Power Generation companies are not buying Furnace Oil from PSO due to circular debt, while consumers pay full month bills for 20 days of power each month.

Top refineries like PRL are operating at 40% capacities due to this reason.

IMF / World bank have imposed this condition to reduce budget deficit. But due to this fact all the industries are in severe crisis.

None of our political parties is ready to speak in the National Assembly as every politician is blessed by IMF / World Bank. Dear Pakistani’s,

WE DEMAND ELECTRICITY IN PAKISTAN FOR WHICH WE PAY EXPENSIVELY. Electricity is now Rs. 11/- per unit, and will increase every two months as directed by IMF. CHINA offered Pakistan Electricity for Rs.200 per month with unlimited use. The government is not acting seriously due to no kick backs, commissions.

These people are there because of your votes. They must serve you, not rule you ……
