Guest guest
I was looking back at some prior polls as I am a new diagnosee of CMT and saw some things I was wondering about. One of them is the awareness ribbon. What does it look like and where do you get them or can you make them? Also, I read on one of them that maybe potassium can help CMT patients. I already take potassium because of some of my blood pressure medicine makes me lose part of my potassium. Anyone know about the potassium? There was mention of a book called " Funny Feet " . Where is it available and how much does it cost? Last, there was a question about " American's with Disabilities Act " and I was wondering if that affects CMT patients. I know this is a lot of questions but thought I would do it all at once. Thanx,Pam
Guest guest
Pam, I think more information on the Awareness Ribbons are in our Files section. I have a few left. If you want one, I'll need your snail mail address so please email me directly at the email addy above and put " CMTRibbon " in the subject line. And yes, as a teenager, I was prescribed a liquid potassium supplement to drink 2X a day. I suggest you ask your doctor about this. Email me also about the book. The " American's with Disabilities Act " covers all Americans with Disabilities, so yes, if you are disabled by CMT, this would include you too. Unfortunately, compliance is slow on this. ~ Gretchen
