Hello to all

Dr Thawani's views though quite radical given the minset and policies

of most universities and medical schools in India, are worth

considering. However we may first try to find such

universities/medical colleges in India where merits and performance

are the criteria for choice of PG teachers or any faculty position for

that matter! During the earlier discussion on PG curriculum that we

had, many PG students had expressed the opinion that while deciding

the the topic of dissertation/research their interest and the

potential use of the work in their future careers should also be

considered. I think as PG teachers we must be open to their

suggestions and try to be accommodative as far as possible.
