Hi Cathleen:

Glad to hear about your family. It's bad enough to have CMT, much less than

to be so poor as was your aunt.

Sounds like your family was not acquainted with CMT diagnosis-- as was my

family-- We all knew the symptoms and worried mothers constantly worried about

their children and could see the tell-tale symptoms.

Do you have folks around Corning, Arkansas? I had a ton of relatives there,

but most have left or died by now. There might be a family thread there.

I'm previously from AR, MO, and now in the land of the Illini

I live about 60 miles from corning Arkansas. my family originates in

Nahville Arkansas and Fort then moved to Texas in the 1930's. I still

have

some distant cousins in those areas. it has been interesting following my

family

tree. when I moved up here I laughed and told my father I was just getting

back to my roots. Cathleen in arkansas
