Guest guest
Over the last twelve years I have progressively lost the ease of walking and now have to use two canes (Called Canadian Canes) to move around. I seems what ever I have has moved up the lower extremeties, causing atropy in the muscles, and this summer hit the thighs hard. At a recent examination one of the Neurologists suggested the possibility of CMT in a passing " I think it could be...! " Previous examinations many doctors had asked about anyone else in the family having a similar situation and I vehemently said no. Now I am finding my father, an uncle as well as grandfather seemed to have some type foot problem, I guess I shall have to correct the responses previously given to the physicians. I am still unsure I have CMT but the little I have heard on this list seem to strongly suggest a strong possibility. Here are the current symptoms: 1, Atrophy up to the crotch. 2. Progessive weakness in the legs 3. Coldness in the extremeties 4. Slight stiffness in the fingers 5. Burning sensations in the Gluts. 6. Roaming pricking sensations around the body. 7. A ringing in the left ear for several years. 8. Diabetic - Good thing the hair went before I started having problems for it would have atropied too.
