Guest guest Posted July 31, 2004 Report Share Posted July 31, 2004 Hey Keely, I've always been interested in dream analyses and sometimes I hit the nail on the head with the real meanings.So you know you have my attention when the dream concept came up in Immunics. Last night I dreamed that I was dressed in a beautiful white lace dress, not a wedding gown or anything elaborate like that, it was just a street length dress.Everyone was complimenting me on the dress and how nice I looked.I tested yes for it being a message dream.So given that how do I figure out what the message is? The oracles all point to white meaning purity and goodness.Since Ive been working hard on trying to build up my extremely low self esteem, I took this dream to mean that regardless of how low an opinion I have of myself, that I am a good person and other people see me as being a worthwhile part of society. Lace means success in love affairs and that I can look forward to an easy life. My particular meaning of it was that my whole life its been my dream to find love and get married and live happily ever after.When I was a little girl I always dreamed of the Cinderella type wedding with all the trimmings.Now I just want to have love and a happy marriage and the wedding part doesnt matter anymore.I took this dream to mean that Ive downsized my expectations and now Im happy with a good marriage and a small wedding if none at all. How do I find out what the message is here. Thanks for any insight on this. It's more what pops into your head when you think about it, instead of the so called general ideas of these symbols. Symbols are unique to all people. What pops out at you about this letter you wrote? White, lace, long dress, people saying your dress was beautiful, how nice you looked. Like for example.....lace to me reminds me of something see through. People can see through to your inner beauty and purity. I read a Jungian book on dream analysis and he suggested to heave all the dream books that have the meanings for symbols (like lace meaning success in marriage.....test that for yourself), all to mean the same. There can be some common ground, but it's best to test if these meanings are true to your message.
