,

My doctor has written me a " prescription " for exercise - which is mainly

aquatics,

but also can include other " medically supervised " instruction/classes. The

charge

for joining our new Fitness Center for all that is $50.00 a month - I signed up

back

in July for a special discount rate - I can go to all the classes I want each

month

for that, (whether Pilates, Yoga, Spinning and whatever else) plus have use of

the gym,

plus have use of the pool all I want - when the pool is not in use by Physical

Therapy

patients and PTs.

Now, because this all is NOT physical therapy, of course it is NOT covered by my

insurance. But, because I have a " prescription " for the medically supervised

classes,

I can deduct the cost I pay ( $50.00 x 12 months) off my taxes.
