Guest guest
Hello - I'm enjoying the conversation on Pilates. The balance and back work sound perfect for CMTers. Recently I've joined Curves and I hope it works out. My true love is hiking and walking, but sadly I have noticed too much pain and involuntary muscle and nerve movements in my lower legs when I walk for fitness. I am hoping the the 'mild to moderate' level of fitness at Curves (short sessions on various machines to work all muscle groups) will take the stress off my ankles, and strengthen my wimpy arms, back and abs. I've got some good non-jarring moves for the recovery stations (between machines). I'm still doing some slower walking indoors at a hockey shelter (I'm in Minnesota, land of many hockey players . One year ago I moved from the city to a small town and Pilates classes are 25 miles away. Perhaps I can consider a home tape, but I do better in 'live' settings with real people. Anyone else have Curves experience, or ideas on how you get the most out of it? I'm considering wrist braces so I don't overuse or use them incorrectly on machines. I only have a hand tremor if I overdo when using my hands/wrists. Thanks, Danita
