My Aunt had them for about 6 months before me, I really fought that vanity inside myself about wearing them. For the first year I wouldn't wear capris or any skirts, because I tried to hide my braces. Now when it is 75 or above I wear my capris that I made. Thank God I know how to sew, since I am very tall for a girl, the capris in the store was either to short or not wide enough at bottom for braces. Now that I have had them for nearly 2 years, I don't know how I did without them for so long. Had the slapping feet and tripping over ones own feet for nearly 2 years, before getting braces. They have been a godsend. If anyone is thinking about getting them, just go ahead. It's better to have people ask why you have braces on, than if they can help you get up off the ground.
