and Mieke,

While my back problem was not joint related, I can relate to back

suffering. One thing that helped for quite awhile were injections of

Enbrel; this was on an experimental basis, and a gamble on my part. The

injections helped me lower the pain medication to every 15 hours - a big

improvement. Very expensive too. Done under the skin, NOT in the joint,

or in my case, disc. This was done at UCLA research center - not for

CMT, but just testing out Enbrel in other theraputic areas.
