Re the discussion about working out while hyperthyroid: As I mentioned in

earlier posts, when I was hyperthyroid I could barely stand, but I didn't

want to experience too much muscle wasting, so I found a videotaped weight

workout for " invalids " (e.g., those who can't stand up due to injuries), and

did the tape religiously. I did not use as much weight as I had been lifting

before I got sick, and could not do any cardio, but did not want to lose all

my muscle tone, and the tape helped a lot, both physically and emotionally.

Mike:

It's great to hear from you!! While I'm now aquainted with

many other people with CMT, through this list, I know few who seem to

have the same level of impairment and exercise.

When were you diagnosed? How long have you been exercising?

I look forward to hearing more.
