Dear Ice,

Well I think I'm a 53 yr. old (age)lady! LOL I'm a geno type 1a and have done two different forms of treatment and will probably do treatment again in May. If you read my email to Cheryl I explained about treatment. I quit smoking for about 3yrs. then had some very anxious moments and being depressed when I started going back down hill symptom wise. So I started smoking agian.

So why have you chose not to do treatment? Or are you waiting for the cure? I was diagnoised in 98 with some scarring of the liver. Did my first treatment right after diagnoises, then of course had to wait for a new treatment.

So did you say where your from? I live in Iowa, pretty small town. I have 2 grown children, a daughter and a son and 2 grandsons by my daughter ages almost eight and just a little over a yr.

Would love to visit your site so send me the link! Well i have got to get busy you take care and write me any time.

Love, Teri

LOl hello Teri

well 53 is a young spring chicken still and you are only half way

through life lol

~ I live in Kent England and have had hepc most of my life, well

nearly 20yrs so my liver was a step away from full blown cirrosis, I

was advised to do interferon after biopsy in 97 but went the natural

route as I was a qualified reflexologist and masseur. I contracted

hepc after a blood transfusion in the eighties.

I had friends to swop skills to pay for treatment of homeopathy.

Being ill in bed with a liver the size of a football 5yrs ago and

kidney pains due to liver not processing anything well- I was told

to take interferon but I refused though I would not recommend

everyone to do what I did just think carefully about all the

options. Now I have lots of energy after treatment with homeopathy,

I have no more pains in kidneys and hold down to cleaning jobs (I

am up a 5am every morning lol) I hope to still be in remission for a

long time and opened up radiant health for others with all different

types of illness as I cannot be a practitioner due to being a

carrier of hepc -I have had tests done recently as these are the

first in 5yrs, viral load, genotype etc and I will keep you posted

when I get results. Thanks for the chat

Hi, thanks again for responding. I thought you only

needed treatment if your getting sick and I havent

really had any symptoms except for some abdominal

pain. But it dosent make sense to me that they wont

treat me before it gets worst, should I maybe go to

another doctor and get a second opinion?

Hi Cheryl,

Different doctors have different ideas about treatment- some think treat before serious damage occurs , others think wait until some damage is done because some people can go for the rest of their lives with no damage at all. Most doctors like to do a series of tests - blood tests, sonograms, cat scans , etc up to & including liver biopsy to determine what damage has been done - what they call a base line - so they know where they're starting from.

When I was diagnosed in '94 , it was because I had asked my doctor for a hepatitis screen (which tests for all kinds of hep) - I knew I'd had hep in 1969 or '70 but didn't know what kind I had. The tests came back positive for hep a & hep c . My doctor sent me to a specialist (a gastroenterologist) who did test after test , he did a biopsy in '95 & when that came back cirrhosis he started me on interferon treatment. The thing is , I had cirrhosis & no symptoms that I knew of. I had insomnia , chronic fatigue , & brain fog but didn't know that this were hep symptoms ! You can be asymptomatic & still have serious liver damage ! Suziecheryl mccormick <coke_232001@...> wrote:

Hi,

I had fatigue and joint pain, but only stage 1 damage on my biopsy. I

decided to do the treatment because I couldn't see waiting for it to

get worse. I was so tired all the time, I couldn't imagine what I

would feel like with more advanced liver damage. I've been in

remission for over 3 years and don't feel fatigued anymore, just

occasional joint pain, so it was a good trade off for me.

Hiya cindy

I am glad you are in remission now, and once that happens its like a

new lease of life, well it was for me anyways..., I have much more

energy now from being weak and ill with kidney pains, so I heartily

agree, whatever it takes either natural remedies or conventional

treaments so long as the end goal is a happy liver then what more

could one want? apart from clearing the virus.

Cheers
