I have been a member of the group for a while now, though I have only sent out one message once before. I find reading all of your thoughts and stories helpful and I am thankful that there is a group like this out there. I'm not really sure why I have been so quiet for so long or why I am choosing now to speak up. I was diagnosed about a year ago, though I knew I had CMT long before that. My mother has CMT as well and I started noticing symptoms in myself as early as age 12.I put off going to the neurologist for as long as I could thinking that if the DR. didn't say the words,then they weren't true.I was fitted for AFOs right away and I am falling less frequently now.I was also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia a few months ago and am wondering if anyone else has this dual diagnosis?
