Guest guest
Alan I have to agree with the others about recommending Dr. Shy's clinic in Detroit--Wayne State University. I have travelled there myself, from PA, and was most pleased with my treatment there. They are the most CMT knowlegeable team of health care workers I have ever met. And they take TIME with you to explain whatever you want to know. Dr. Steve Hinderer is a physiatrist there, and works in rehabilitation. He has a PhD, as well as an MD, and was trained as a physical therapist way back when--a very highly educated man, but he speaks with patients in ENGLISH, and never appears condescending or impatient. Between he and Dr. Shy (they are both at Wayne State's CMT Clinic, Dr. Shy is a neurologist MD), you should be able to get solid information. I wish I had found them before 1995 when I had a triple arthrodesis on my right foot. Best of luck to you and your family, Joyce S.
