Guest guest
Don't worry what the doctor will say just do what is best for you. Just find out from him how to come of the drugs. Green Barley Spirulina MSM biological sulphur Milk Thistle Water Dandelion Vitamin C Take as much of all these things as you can and as much as your body will tolerate. MSM will stop any itchiness and greatly inmprove your skin. MSM grows new cells or at least regenerates them. My body used to ache all over and since taking this I have NO pain. Go for it. Guest guest
Speaking of hair thinning. Does anyone have any natural remedies for thinning hair. Mine has been thinning since Sept. last year. Its just awful. I have a feeling it is because I get over heated. I know my liver gets overheated. Too much fire in the liver and the Chinese would say. I need something to restore it. I thought maybe Vit B Complex I get a tingling sensation at the roots and I know that these the hairs that are going to fall next. Thanks _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
Guest guest
Hi Ladonna, I'm sorry to read what you've been going through. I feel its important to listen to your body and allow it to start healing itself again. So its important to drink lots and lots of water right now - eating more greens and fresh foods as you wrote in your post is wise - I'd say taking antioxidents and suppliments would really help build your body/immune system back up and help to flush alot of those toxins out've your liver and body. And things like Co-Enzyme Q 10 and Omega 3 Fatty Acids (Flax Seed Oil or DHA) are very benificial to the heart and to our livers. As far as hair regrowth & support - many times with hepC were not able to abosrb the nutrients we need to function 100% - for our cells to properly grow etc. So we don't abosrb even the minerals we need for hair growth etc - I take a product called Microhydrin that helps quite a bit - I had hair loss in the beginning - and that's stopped - so I think that helped it and it helps with the absrobtion of other nutrients we need and helps in detoxing. Robyn gave a good suggestion on the MSM & Spirulina too. I swear by MSM - its a great anti-inflammitory - helps with the generation of healthy new tissue around our joints and its a natural pain reliever. And Spirulina has lots of minerals in it and 18 amino acids and is a pure source of protein. I know you're working with a nutritionalist too - but feel free to email me your name and mailing address if you'd like and I'll send you a pkg of the audio tapes and info I mention on my site. I'll include Dr. Meyers article - there's alist of his Protocol in there - I have felt safer following a doctors suggestions - and not just guessing on how much of certain suppliments and herbs to take. This way you will get an idea of what amounts are 'safe', what and when to take them and what could be toxic or challenging to the liver. For me = much more peace of mind. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Hi Robyn, When you start having hair loss or thinning hair you need to figure out the cause - it is either by hormonal imbalances (such as increase in testosterone) or auto-immune conditions (as in the case of alopecia areata). Essential oils are excellent for cleansing, nourishing, and strengthening the hair follicle and shaft. Rosemary (cineol chemotype) encourages hair growth. I have recipes for certain problems (to prevent premature balding, to prevent hair loss, and to stimulate hair growth). If you would like any of these just let me know. You were right on when you also mentioned about B vitamins - you need an excellent multi-B (not Centrum, Geritol or any of those other drugstore/grocery store brands which go right through you). You need a multi-B that uses a synergistic suspension isolation process to isolate the various vitamins so they are released at different times and thus do not cause fermentation in the stomach (which happens with most multi-B's since they are combined at once in the stomach). It also should include minerals that aid in the assimilation and metabolism of B vitamins. (As far as I know, there is only one brand out there that has all of this and that is Young Living's). B vitamins are particularly important during times of stress when reserves are depleted. Although research has shown that megadoses of B vitamins are not healthy, it has been known that the diets of many Americans do not provide the recommended amount of B vitamins that is essential for normal functions of immune response. MSM is also another excellent idea for hair loss. Guest guest
I just wanted to make a comment on the MSM - you are so right in what you say about MSM. If you know anything at all about MSM then you have probably read the book " The Miracle of MSM " by Dr. Lawrence, MD. Dr. Lawrence is also the Executive Director of the Council on Natural Nutrition and he uses only Young Living's MSM in his practice (called Sulfurzyme) and here is a quote direct from him: " Young Living is at the cutting-edge of alternative health science. Just one product - Sulfurzyme - has the potential to produce results that will far surpass that of traditional formulations. This is just one product of Young Living's that I intend to make a central part of my clinical practice. " If you are buying a brand of MSM out of the health food stores, please be aware that you may be wasting your money because if you are deficient in certain nutrients you will not absorb the MSM at all. Sulfurzyme is a unique combination of MSM and Chinese wolfberry (which you will not find in any other MSM product out there). Together, they create a new concept in balancing the immune system and supporting almost every major function of the body. Of particular importance is the ability of MSM to equalize water pressure inside of the cells - a considerable benefit for those plagued with bursitis, arthritis, and tendonitis. Chinese wolfberry is contained in this product to supply the necessary nutrients (minerals and coenzymes) for the proper assimilation and metabolism of the sulfur. The MSM used is methylsulfonylmethane which is a natural form of sulfur found in all living organisms and is one of the best sources of nutritional sulfur. MSM is critical to proper skin health, hair and nail growth, and liver function. Also, just so you know that the Chinese wolfberry has over 18 amino acids, 21 trace minerals, more protein than bee pollen, more vitamin C than oranges, and nearly as much beta carotene as carrots. The wolfberry protects liver function, replenishes vital essences, improves visual acuity, and lowers blood pressure and cholesterol. It also helps to prevent tumor growth and helps to promote fat decomposition and reduces blood sugar. (I have the research document numbers on this if anyone is interested - the research is very extensive but, of course, not in North America.) Young Living is actually now growing its own organic Chinese wolfberry trees in North America (no one else is) and they will be ready for their first harvest this year. If you want any more info on this, please don't hesitate to ask. Guest guest
Hi Deb, I order mine from a company called Royal Body Care (RBC) theirs has vitamin C and something called Microhydrin in it. The Microhydrin is very helpful in itself its a powerful antixoident and it also helps with the absrobtion of other nutrients. You can visit my website I have listed below and order it there if you like - I'm also going to post an article on MSM here in a minute. I swear by the stuff myself. LOL Feel better! Guest guest
Just to let you know where I get my MSM and that is from Young Living - it is called Sulfurzyme - if you would like the toll free number just let me know and then you can call and order it direct from the company. This is the only one I would trust in the world (and I have tried others) as Dr. Lawrence, MD, PhD (who wrote the book " Miracle of MSM " ) uses this one in his practice (see e-mail from yesterday). I know of many people who have had good results with other MSM brands but then when they try this one, there is no comparison.
