Guest guest
Please forward this because we want to save lives. -- Thank you so much for your daily reminders. I have been doing immunics since October. I wrote to you when I started, I was just out of the hospital. I have MS, and one of the eye muscles was paralyzed. I am much better now, my eyesight is getting back to normal and I'm a lot stronger. I am not sure I am anywhere near curing my MS, but I'm working on it. Thursday was a very long day for me, by the time I got to the evening yoga class I had a terrible head ache. I did not want to miss the class so I did immunics along with the yoga. It was an amazing experience- the combination of the calm clear place with the energy of yoga. (and I made the headache much better). After class I told my teacher about the experience. I had told him about immunics in Oct., when I started, he seemed not interested at all, so I left it. Now he is very much interested. He does several kinds of healing, and his wife has just recovered from breast cancer. I found out his problem: Their English is very poor. My English is OK, I can translate for them. The general concepts I can translate with no problems, but there are things that need an exact translation. I can use a dictionary to translate the 2 words: " opportunistic infection " but as I have no idea what that means (I have just been doing it...) I will not know if my translation is OK. What I am trying to ask...how important is the exact translation? (I am from Israel, translating to Hebrew). Your email reminders are a brilliant idea and great help. Thank you for everything. Shoshana -- Shoshana - Thanks for your kind words. As far as the translation, here's what I suggest: When you're in the middle of a translation or about to make one, test: " Is my translation sufficient? or " Can I create a better way of saying this? " You can also test different ways of saying things to see where you get your biggest " yes. " This is often how Bayard and Greg and I write -- when there are several ways of saying something, we test which would be best for the particular purpose. It might slow things down a bit, but as you keep doing that kind of testing, your mastery with translating will increase geometrically, more than if you didn't test. More important than all the above: Immunics done imperfectly still blesses you and those you love.
