Guest guest
Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing well. I have a question and I hope somone can answer it for me. Im 24 years old and have had hep c for almost a year. I had a liver biopsy done and the doctor said there is only a little bit of scarring to my liver. My question is shouldnt I be getting treatment while everything is okay because he doesnt want to treat me for it but why wait for it to progress do you think I should get a second opinion? _______________________________________________________
Guest guest
What an idiot doctor....Just a little bit of scarring now and won't treat you? Man shoot the doctor, or sue him. This guy must be a total idiot. Just go to a different doctor right away. Re: Re: Other alternatives... . Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing well. Guest guest
Cheryl As a general rule, yes treatment does work better the sooner you start. You need to speak with your doctor and find out exactly how he came to the decision not to start you on some type of treatment plan now. You mentioned having had Hep C for only a year now. Maybe I ask you a question? The time you contracted HepC and the time you were diagnosed are two very different things. Do you knot what the source of infection was and when? Was just wondering exactly how long you have had it. Anyway, you need to write down a list of questions with why he doesn't want to start treating you now at the top of the list. Find out exactly what his plans are. It's always a good idea to bring somebody to the doctor with you. I found that very helpful, as I either forget to ask or forget what he told me by the time I got home. The screen is getting a little blurry here and I need to go lay down. Feel free to ask me any question if you have them. Good luck Jerry

Guest guest
Cheryl, if you have only had it for a year there is a possibility of you clearing the disease with either allopathic medicine or herbal medicines. Always ask the doctors questions, some of them won't like it, they think you are a know all. They are the arogant ones. Then there some doctors who welcome the questions. There is a lot of information on the net Cheryl. Why don't you find out for yourself. Then go and see the doctors informed and ready to ask questions. Wishing you well.
