Guest guest Posted September 1, 2003 Report Share Posted September 1, 2003 My husband just got a scooter from New Boundaries. It is FAA approved and can be ridden up to the airplane gate. It collapses like a stroller and can be taken apart into three not too heavy parts. He is having a lot of fun with it so far [he went on a ranger guided walk at Yosemite], but it is new so we don't know whether there will be any problems. We also don't yet know whether or not Medicare will pay for it or whether our insurance will cover it, but MDA will cover $2,000 of the $2400 charge if they don't.
