Guest guest
Hi , my name is Sharon and I have experience with your son's problem of sorts. I didn't respond because our experience didn't fit yours to a tee. As long as you are still looking for responses, here it goes. My son was diagnosed with testicular cancer when he was 26 also. The difference is we do not know whether he will be a CMT person like his mother or not. Also, he was operated on, they removed the tumor, and suggested radiation treatment. After talking with his doctor he decided not to take the radiation and just be checked every 6 months. This was in 1996, the cancer has not returned. I remember that there are two types of this particular cancer. I realize that my son's experience might be different than your son's, but if nothing else maybe you should ask some more questions. It will not hurt to check into things a bit further. (from someone who had had breast cancer). Is there really NO-ONE with the two problems out there?????? I guess he'll be a guinea pig of sorts ..... trying out the chemo drugs for science ......... they are unique to that type of cancer treament and are known to be hard on the neurological system ....... Please if anyone knows of a personal experience, let me know! !!!!!
