Good Morning Gail!

You helped a couple of days ago in searching for some

information regarding the Beck's protocol. I just

recieved my machines yesterday. Last night for the

first time i was trying to make colloidal silver, but

the water I bought at the store had too many

impurities according to the machine. Do you know what

the best distilled water i could use when making

colloidal silver?

Thanks for you help in advance!

Good Morning, .

I am so not an expert at any of this stuff.:( Again the information I got

was off of Forrest's site. He says to try different brands of

distilled water to see which brand best produces a yellow color when

through. Avoid brands that causes excess black residue to accumulate on

electrodes. The best brand out of the four he's tried is Land Sky from

Ingles grocery store. Suggests one get a swimming pool PH tester from KMart

and test for which brand has the lowest PH (which is more desirable). Now,

with all that said, somebody (but can't remember who) said it's hard to go

wrong when making CS. That's just my style. If it's easy to mess up, I'd

do just that! LOL I, myself, use Arrowhead distilled water. We don't have

much of a selection where I live. It's either that or the Safeway brand.

So far, with Arrowhead, I haven't noticed anything bad. But that's not to

say it's the best brand. I also think different CS units must be different.

What did you mean when you said your system kept flashing a red light? I

have the one from Jaguar and there's nothing there that measures the mineral

content of the water. So with all that said, which probably didn't help you

out at all, I guess the easiest way would be for some of the " real " experts

to write in and tell what brand of distilled water they use. :)

Nice to hear from you again, .

I think you should look for steam distilled, reverse osmosis, carbon

filtered water. All three procedures are designed to remove impurities, so

when all are included it should be purer.

I found out that the purer the water, the less conductivity it has, and

would not produce a " smoke " dropping from the electrode. I have read that

you should never add salt, because you can get silver cloride, which is bad

stuff. After you have made good CS one time you can add a little to the new

water to produce the next batch, because the silver is very conductive. But

for the first batch I have read that you can safely add a few drops of a

baking soda solution for conductivity. If anyone knows of a reason that this

is not good advise, please post the info. I diluted 1/4 tsp of soda in 1 cup

of warm water and used 5-10 drops in a quart of distilled water. The smoke

began immediately.

I have also read that if you bring the water almost to a boil that it will

conduct better. Don't know the reasoning behind this. It does not seem that

heating would make it more conductive, but it has been almost 60 years since

I studied chemistry or physics.

My experience is that

city tap water runs 180-230 ppm tds (total dissovled solids)

Commercial RO water runs 5-11 ppm tds

Water from my distiller runs 0-2 ppm tds

and tastes better if it's run through a carbon filter.

It may be that some volatile solvents

come through with the water.

Jeff--

About finding a good distilled water...

I was having the same problem. Even the " steam distilled " water I

got from my (very reputable) health food store tested higher than

what the instructions that came with my PWT meter. (It said DW should

test lower than 2.0 to 3.0.) Everything I bought went above the 3.0.

Then someone posted on a site (not sure if it was this one or another

one), that Walgreens had the best water and that they had checked it

out with Walgreens and was told that it all came from one plant so

should be consistent across the country. I got some and it tests

consistently around 1.0. So, if you are in the U.S. you should be

able to find it. At least in the Midwest there seems to be a

Walgreens on every other corner!

The gallon jug says: " Steam distilled, microfiltered, and ozonated " .

and it runs right around $1.00 per gallon.

Hope this helps.
