I posted this message a couple days ago and now I don't see it or any replies to

it on

the postings so I am going to try to post it again. (Sorry if it's a duplicate)

I'm looking for some information on all-terrain vehicles to help me with 3-4

season

accessability to outdoor areas with uneven, rugged, sloping ground. We live in

Northern Michigan with thousands of acres of state land and also travel

quite a bit down South where the US Forest Service has a lot of the service

roads

gated off preventing access by car or truck, (if you can't hike in, you can't

gain

access). Since backpacking and hiking are not options to me due to CMT I need to

find an alternative. I can walk, (with AFOs), but not well for distances or on

uneven,

sloping ground. I'm not to the point where I'd like a wheelchair, but am looking

for

alternatives such as a scooter that can handle that type of terrain.

I know that Medicare and insurance companies cover some of the costs for

mobility

aides, but don't know their regulations for what they consider a Scooter. What

are my

options here?

Any help would be appreciated!

I have seen an ad in the MDA magazine (Quest) for what I believe you

are looking for.

I don't have a copy of the mag, but it has been in several issues and

has a web address.

It looks similiar to an ATV, but it is electric like a scooter.

You would need an idea of the slopes of the terrain to determine if

they have enough traction, etc. So you can get back to your vehicle

and not stuck somewhere.

Do you, or does anyone out there, know what brand of scooter this would be?
