Guest guest
Hi, I have been wearing braces first when I was 14 in Early 80s. they were plastic lightweight that went in shoe my legs at time weren't as bad as now. it really depends on on your legs well I couldn't tell you what brand. Then in 90s I had to get braces again. I was't wearing any then I was 25. I started falling alot, they were plastic too but more heavy duty that go in shoe they really worked good for me and then in 97, excuse me I don't really remember, what the brands are they kinda just let me choose which I would be more comfortable and of course the doc says what they suggest wouldbe right for me. I like the shoe braces you actually wear a shoe and not have your foot in plastic AFOs and you can change your shoes thats nice about them. In 2000 I had to get new ones again, their plastic metal and you just put them in shoe, the doc said thats the best for me. I know the name of the place were I got them is Hanger Nova Care Prosthetics and their pretty popular or another is Rehab. Designs of America. The company that made them is called Oregon Othotics inc. I don't know if I have been much help or not. but if you have a choice I would go with shoe braces metal on side they are more comfortable. but they weren't best for me so I had to get something more heavy duty. well good luck and I hope I helped some lots of luck hope it works out for you .
