Guest guest
Dear Members,Message-6: The proclaimed truth of Indian philosophyis "Our deeds should be backed with knowledge and ourknowledge should be in action" i.e. there is a needfor harmony in knowledge and deeds. The goal of all our scriptures and learning is only this that thelight of the ultimate knowledge within our heart~should continuously brighten up our path of life. All are not alike in this world. Not only the birds, animals and insects, but even men differ in their worth and capacities. Each man is not capable ofcarrying out every task, nor is he capable of everyattainment. Mostly men themselves run away from workand keep on crying for not obtaining variousachievements. Most men in this world are unhappy - not because of their own sorrows but - because of theirthinking 'why should others be happy'? They themselvesdo nothing and expect that they should get all thehappiness, comforts, money, wealth and achievements in the material world. Such ignorant people who keepbuilding castles in the air create a hell-like lifefor themselves and simultaneously create an anarchicatmosphere in the society. Such distorted thinking only blunts their knowledge. Only their difficultiesare visible to them and they always keep on crying. They neither have the time nor the know ledge tounderstand the sorrow of the millions of people living in want When the proper knowledge of the realityenlightens the mind, then accordingly, man decides theactions to be taken. For this harmony, he requiresconstant practice. To cultivate this habit is at first difficult, even impossible, but gradually by practiceit is achieved and even dull persons becomeknowledgeable. A person, who does not know swimming, becomes mortally afraid when taken into the water, butwithin the next few days he is able to swim like fish. Similarly by constant practice, the entire life can bemade full of knowledge. A knowledgeable person has aquiet and balanced attitude. He considers all hisachievements as a favour from God and remainssatisfied. He does not have any emotion of jealousy or malice. He does not have ill-feelings on seeingothers' happiness, comforts and progress. Never doeshe cry or get irritated or angry. He knows thesanctity of deeds and with a broad outlook keeps acompassionate attitude for all animals. With the attitude that all animals possess a soul just like hisown, he is not satisfied merely with personalprogress, but understands that in the progress of alllies his own progress. This is the identity of a man with character. How lucky we are that we have been granted thisinvaluable human body and simultaneously whatmisfortune that we waste it away in the animal-likeactivities of filling the belly and procreation. Our biggest and most important difficulty is of theproper, good use of life. Farsightedness lies infinding a solution to this difficulty. Only then willwe be able to fulfill our life's objective and alsofulfill God's wish. Is the treasure of the power of knowledge, insight, capacity, worthiness and discretion given to us by Godonly for maintaining our bodies and families? If werecognize our capacity we will realize that after fulfilling our needs there still remains so much time, money and strength with us, which we do not put togood use and on the contrary, by its misuse, we areheading for the chasm of downfall. In trade or office, man has to spend maximum ten hours only. 6-7 hours arerequired for sleep and 3-4 hours for daily routine andmeals etc. Even then daily four hours remain. We mustsometimes think about what use we make of these four hours. We must pay attention to our spiritualprogress also. Believing this world to be a vastmanifestation of God, all our remaining capacity mustbe utilized for making this world more fragrant andmore developed. This will be possible only when we throw out our faults, bad activities, bad thoughts andbad tendencies and make tremendous efforts for theireradication. Along with it we try to achieveperfection by including to the maximum extent, more qualities, deeds, idealism and naturalness in ourcharacter. Let us believe that proper plans for publicwelfare are the real worship of God and let usconsider as high-level austerity the difficulties tobe faced for removing the backwardness, ignorance and bad conduct all around us. Our spiritual progress willbe in proportion to the attention that we pay to thesematters and our will-power will increase accordingly. We should also listen to the voice of God within our conscience and determine' our deeds according to itsdirection. Otherwise the habit of crushing theinterests of the soul under our feet and spending allour mental-capacities for bodily and worldlyactivities will prove foolish in the end and will prove costly. The meaningfulness of life lies only inemploying the self in good deeds. Let us always think, see, speak and do good only through our mind, speechand deeds. Let us create all around us an ionosphere of purity and inspiring all our senses for good deeds, let us go forward on the path of progress. "- A man ofcharacter receives praise by making such a life hisideal.!!! Will Continue !!!
