Guest guest
I have been having problems with my vision for 1 1/2 years. Been to all the opthamologists and had LOTS of tests. Couldn't find any problems they say. One dr. thought it might be the little bit of cataract I have, so he removed them recently. So far, am still having problems with poor vision in dim light/indoors/night and a " film " . Maybe it is CMT related? Colleen
Guest guest
I was just referring to his prescription for his glasses changing every 3-4 months. We did the patching with Garrett for a few years without any help. We changed eye doctors and she gave us the eye drops to use instead of patching. After a month of using the drops she told us that he was using both his eyes equally. He still can not focus when they cover up one of his eyes. His eye will move around trying to focus and it just can't. It doesn't matter which eye you cover up he can't see out of either of them if one is covered up. When he watches tv his head will be slightly turned but he is looking at the tv. The doctors told me to let him do that. Doesn't seem like that is normal. I just find it hard to believe that after getting a new prescription every 3 or 4 months he goes to staying at the same prescription. He tells me all the time he sees better without his glasses. I don't know if he's saying that just because he doesn't want to wear them or because he can't see out of his glasses very well. He still has a hard time judging things. Like the corners of the walls. He'll be walking out of the living room into the kitchen or to go to the bathroom and run right into the corner of the wall. He just says he didn't see the wall. He is now back to going to the eye docs every 6 months. I still don't think they've made out the extent of his vision problems. He has to be sitting right on top of something in school to be able to see it. He goes to pt and ot in school and they have gotten him a slant board to use. The school has made every effort to make school easier for him. He also has ADHD. He goes to special ed as well. I'm thankful that the school is willing to work with him as much as they are.
