Guest guest
and Gretchen, I guess I am not explaining this coming and going right. I don't mean the pain, weakness, etc. get better. They seem to go away and come in spurts. Once it all gets worse it never gets better. Just comes and goes. I hope this explains it better. Guest guest
Now I see. I'm exactly the same way. I have moments of plateaus. I will progress rapidly with my symptoms and then for no reason at all I stop progressing and stay at the same level for a while. Sometimes a plateau will last for years. Not sure why it happens that way - but I sure am grateful for those moments (even if one only lasts for a few months). Take care,
Guest guest
Hi all, I am the same way, I will also have periods of progression with major pain, weakness and fatigue, during that time I noticed my feet and hands change physically, then I will go into a plateau and all stays well for awhile. During my plateaus I still get the normal pain, weakness and fatigue but it is tolerable. During my bad spells I dont want to leave my bed. Stress is a big factor. When I am under stress the progression seems worse and stays around much longer. Carol
Guest guest
Hi , I can definitely relate to the sleeping problems, and my right finger trembles when I'm on the computer, it shakes back and forth. One thing I'm curious about, when I lost complete hand motion in my right hand in April, why am I getting some motion back now? Of course I'm thrilled to death, but thought once I had this happen, then the nerve conduction test, then knew I had cmt1, I thought I'd never get feeling back again?? Does this mean it can come and go, because I've definitely have had all the other symtoms for years. And , when I have good days and want to do yardwork or whatever, my ex yells at me for going overboard, which I do, and then feel lousy for the next day or so. I think we just want to get the most out of what we can do, when we can do it!!...Oh well... I also wish he'd read more about what I have so he would understand more. Take care.
