welcome Colleen/unknown type

Hi Colleen,

Welcome to our goup. I have CMT, but I don't know what

type. Have no children and have just never persued the

type. I was diagnosed when I was 15 and now I'm 53. I'm in

a wheelchair, it's much easier then falling all the time

even with AFOsS. I can get around alot better and faster

and I don't seem to get as depressed as much. Don't really

know how that fits in, but it's working so I'm not asking

any questions. Hubby is more relaxed too, doesn't have to

worry about me as much when he's working. I also have a

service dog named Gallager that helps me alot and always by

my side.

Charcot Marie Tooth Disease. The only requirement for

membership is to have CMT or know someone with CMT.

Persons in the early stages of diagnosis are also

welcome, as are medical professionals. is not

allied with any sect, denomination, politics or

institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy,

neither endorses or opposes any causes. There are no dues

or fees required for membership or participation in our

discussions.
