Guest guest
Hi , If you didn't have bad luck, you wouldn't have any luck!!!!! What a deal. Just glad you an your daughter are both alright. Good thing to vent, always makes me feel better. Had a minor little temper tantrum myself this morning. Things weren't going too smoothly after hubby went to work, so that's when I vent. For me a good scream does it an then I give myself a good pep talk. Does wonders. in Nebraska
Guest guest
, I am so sorry about your accident. Did 911 ever send anyone and did you go to get checked out? Yes, the men intimidated you, but I feel it is best to get checked out at the ER. I have been in this situation, and didn't want to go in the ambulence to the ER, the police made me sign a refusal form. The police followed me home, and carried my stuff inside. This all happened at 10 am on a clear sunny day on my way to teach a 11 am class. I was really shaken. I called my Internist and that afternoon had an MRI done and had a diagnosis of a concussion. My Explorer was slammed by a Jag from behind and that slammed me into a Mercedes in front of me. The impact of being hit just snapped by head and neck so hard and fast it caused the concussion. I stopped teaching, as the Internist advised and was out the rest of the semester (about 8 weeks). A lawsuit and subsequent settlement came later. Some ten years ago I was also rear ended in my Bronco on my way from the market. The police were on the scene in seconds, and a friend came to get my stuff in the car. Off we went to the ER to get checked. I had bruised ribs. Here in Calif. we need to report accidents causing over $500 worth of damage. Both times I was asked if I was taking drugs, which irritated me, but I had the CMT wallet card to show an explanation of CMT. Nonetheless, I was irritated being stone cold sober. Both these accidents happened in my life at times when I seemed to make major changes in my life - looking at them now, I see they were 'wake up calls'. The only CMT symptom that bothered me after these accidents were major tremor surges. I'm grateful I wasn't hurt nor anyone else. I understand your need for safety and for your daughter; I hope you will both get checked and by all means report this. Could be an scam - happens alot out here. Better days ahead! ~ Gretchen

Guest guest
This is a reply to all. Thanks for kind words. I did not actually call 911, I just had my phone prepared to dial in case the men actually tried anything. I unfortunately did not get a license plate number. I really have no information on the vehicle. I have no intention of reporting the accident (which I legally do not have to do as the damage was mild) because of my current law-suit for previous accident. I feel it will only confuse matters. Plus it gives the insurance companies more excuses to not pay out for my medical needs. I don't know if any of you have ever had the joy of fighting w/ auto insurance companies, but it's not fun and quite costly. I really don't want to add to the headache. Although it has added to the back-ache :-). I'm not too worried about the other driver reporting anything as I doubt he was a legal driver (insured, licensed, etc) based on his and his friends intimidation tactics. I don't feel any loss of pride for not sticking around and making sure they " paid " for what they did as my childs safety shows no boundaries on pride. They'll either get theres when the time comes or possibly feel extremely lucky that I did not report anything. Again, I'd rather raise my child and make sure my daughter has a mother rather than squable over a car. Thanks again to all for your kind words and concern. At least I have the medication needed to treat the pain (same thing the hospital would have given me, but with out the 8 hour wait!) Love to all, /CO
