Guest guest
Hi Anupama So thoughtful of u to present the WHO report in a condensed form. You are right. Most of our members are very busy to go through any detail text. Here is some more information. WHO set up the world's first web-based system for tracking the activities of drug cheats in the Western Pacific Region in 2005. The Rapid Alert System (RAS) communications network transmits reports on the distribution of counterfeit medicines to the relevant authorities for them to take rapid countermeasures. That system should be expanded to include all regions. This system also enables countries to rapidly transmit information regarding sales of fake medicines. This website is available at http://218.111.249.28/ras/default.asp. The reporting form asks users to enter the country where the medicine was identified, as well as how the medicine was encountered – whether at a hospital, pharmacy or via other means. The form also requires other information about the medicine, such as its name, category, packaging information and dosage form.
