Guest guest
Hello Christin and welcome to . I am also a nurse (47 yrs. old) with CMT and I live in Texas. I do know some of your frustration of not being able to do the things you would like. As health care professionals we have spent our careers being a patient advocate and it is really difficult to slow down (willingly) and to take care of ourselves. I reached a point of acceptance (that took a long time for me) that I could no longer be the strong, physically equipped caregiver in a hospital setting. I have been doing telephonic case management with injured employees for a number of years now and I am so grateful for the diversity that nursing offers us. That might be an avenue at some point you might want to explore. Not only will you find compassion and understanding here, but there are volumes of helpful information also! Gretchen is a great advocate for us all! Blair
