Guest guest
Hi Ellie, Good luck to your hubby with his new scooter. It has been my experience that Medicare will not pay for a scooter but they have paid for the electric wheelchairs that I have needed. They have to be 5 yrs old before they will ok a new wheelchair and most of the time I've had to really baby one along the last year of use. They think they know how long one should last, or so they think, and if you have problems you must be doing something wrong. I've been told different times about MDA helping sometimes and was wondering how I could get in touch with them. It would be nice to more or less have a back up soure if it really gets down to the nitty gritty of a situation. in Nebraska---I have no private insurance or supplement of any kind *** WENDY, try contacting http://mdff.org they may possibly be of help in your situation. They are NOT the same as MDA tho - they are in Indianna ~ Gretchen
