Guest guest
Elaine and all, After I got off line last night, I went to read the back of a Jello box for the ingredients. Something stood out. Adipic Acid. So then this morning I looked up Adipic Acid and found 1) it, among other uses, is a flavor addititive (my Jello is the fat-free kind) and 2) within Adipic Acid, there is potassium. It has long been known that potassium helps muscles. So, maybe there is some reason to this. Since the actual chemical quantities are not listed in how much is in a simple Jello box, I am guessing it would take alot of Jello to give us the potassium. Perhaps the drinking of it also has a faster effect of getting into muscle tissue. However, I would think if one is seriously potassium deficient as I was, it would take much more potassium to get the body levels up. ~ Gretchen
