Dear Rajender,

Unethical promotion of drugs is rampant especially when the

regulatory sytem is not strict . secondly the guidelines laid by the

NDP on drug promotion are not clear. The industry has to earn and

survive. However, the following measurtes can be taken up:

-The prescribers belonging to alternative medicine system need to be

educated.

- the health facility need to frame their policy for no. of MR

visits, no. of samples to the prescribers, permission from the

hospital authority etc.
