DNA blood test for types

Ian,

Sometimes the blood test can come back negative. And there are so many

types, sub-types and new mutations of CMT, perhaps a test has not been

developed for what type you have. The best indicator is still the

EMG/NCV testing results, which is able to tell between Type 1 and Type 2

but that's as far as it goes. Also, remember what we just learned, about

20% of CMT cases show NO family history. (I am a one of 'those') Just a

few more thoughts.
