Just wanted to share some good news with you all - I have been wanting

to be of service more in my community (no, I am not running for

Governor!) but wanted to try something new. So, long story short, I have

been appointed as an Advisory Board Member for Alcohol and Drug programs

and policy by the Board of Supervisors of Santa Barbara County, where I

live. It is a ten hour a month committment each month, meetings, site

visits, reading, advisory, etc. It is for a 3 year term. I am excited

about this and looking forward to this new step. As you know, I believe

in " service " if one is able. Now, don't worry, I am still here with

and will continue to be:) Perhaps my new friends, the Board

Members, will want to know all about CMT sometime:) The first meeting

isn't until September, along with new Board Member orientation.

Congratulations Gretchen!!!!!!! I know that the board is lucky to have you.

I think it is wonderful that you are following your desire to be of service

to your community. We should all follow in your footsteps, msybe it would help

us not focus so much on ourselves. Cathleen

Good Day Gretchen:

Way to go Gretchen! I know your enthusiasm towards helping others will be of

great benefit in your new role.

Ask for help in the morning and give thanks at night.
