Even a snail progresses. :-))) Regarding therapy, be sure your PT knows about CMT (what it is and that it is a nerve disease, rather than a muscle disease). Using is good, overusing can use up what you have. Swimming and proper stretching can be very beneficial. " pain is gain " " go for the burn " and those type attitudes are wrong for helping CMT. Moderation is the key. Just talking out your feelings can help anyone immensely. Guest guest Posted November 3, 2004 Report Share Posted November 3, 2004 Bobby, I too have a 5yr old. I have experienced the burden of guilt when it comes to him. But for the good news...I just started ldn 2.5 weeks ago and there is a huge difference. Also, I have been doing physical therapy since May of this year. When I first started all I could do was 3 minutes of floor stomach exercises and then I would become soo fatigued and out of it. Now I joined what is called their gym membership and I go whenever I want. Yesterday I did the machines and even the treadmill for 3 minutes!!!
