Guest guest
Has anyone come up with a good idea on how to clean the velcro straps on the AFOs? I have had mine for a couple of years and they are not as nice looking anymore as I would like them to be. Thanks. Also, just for your information, I have tried for disability - been turned down twice.
Guest guest
, I typically have the velcro straps replaced each year. The strength of the velcro decreases over time. Your orthotist may need your doctor to write a prescription for adjustments to the brace for insurance purposes. Barry

You can call the doctor's office without an appointment and ask them to fax the prescription to the orthotist. As far as cleaning the straps, I haven't found anything that is better than simply using my fingers to pull away any debris that sticks to the velcro.
