Guest guest Posted August 27, 2003 Report Share Posted August 27, 2003 Mieke, Have you or anyone in your family had any of the genetic DNA tests for ANY of the CMT types? There is only one currently available here for 2 E, but I think 2 D might be next. I can put you in touch with researchers working on tests for Type 2 if you like; but first you need to have negative tests for 1A and 1B. Have you made a 'family tree' on paper that might show some pattern of CMT in your family? This might give your doctor more information.
