Guest guest
Dear Samidh Your apprehensions about ppt presentations are not invalid. However these are minor drawbacks that can be overcome through practice and if we make an effort to correct them. For example: If we have rehearsed our lecture well, eyecontact should not be a poblem as you know what is dispalyed and only have to look at the slides when you want to emphasise some point or use a pointer. Updating the PPT slides is easier as compared to OHP presentations. Points enlisted in a ppt can be a cue to what you want to discuss. There is no rule that says that you may not write certain details in the ppt if you think they are important or that you may forget them. About forgetting some points, it can happen in any type of presentations. Use of animations in PPT should be relavent and not meant to be just attractive. Of course PPT has its own disadvantages just loke other methods of instructions. Do Keep posting; on other issues too on this topic.
