Guest guest
I am happy to become a part of this group. I was diagnosed with CMT X years ago as a young teen. I am now 50. Professionally, I am an architect. I am also a single dad to two daughters-twins; now 20 and in college. (my wife passed away 10 years ago-ovarian cancer) It was rocky going for awhile, but the girls and I bonded tighter and got over some obstacles. I have to admit raising two teens at the same time was a heck of a challenge; but it was a challenge for them too with only 1 parent. We are very close - they love 'checking in' with me...ah, what are cell phones for anyway? The girls are asymptomatic as far as CMT goes. With more time on my hands now, besides work, my 'fun' is restoring an old sailboat. I also do some exercise - varying my workouts from swimming to biking to walking on the beach and now and then hitting a volleyball over the net when the girls are home. Or sometimes just throwing a frisbee for Poncho (our collie). I have never met anyone with CMT, but have subscribed to newsletters and now the magazine. And now this email group is in my life to open another door.
