Here is opinion of our learned members regarding naming the monthly bulletin of NetRUM.

OPINIONS OF MEMBERS ABOUT NAMING THE BULLETIN OF NetRUM

Dr. S. Manikandan: The cover page of our newsletter reads "Monthly Newsletter of Network for Rational Use of Medicines". Instead of this coin a good name for the newsletter.

Sh. Bhava Narayana: The news letter should be named “NetRUM-News letter on rational use of medicinesâ€. We should take the news letter beyond the members. I offer my databases of 5000 hospitals and doctors. We should ensure NetRUM is known to every doctor in India, at least. We should lead in the rational use of medicines. Irrational prescribing and improper

use of Antibiotics poses the biggest health care challenge in India. The content of the news letter should reflect the discussions held and conclusions. The moderator is expected to deliver an article for international audience. Members’ names in this article may be withdrawn for holding readers attention.

Dr. Anupama Sukhlecha: I agree with the suggestions of Mr Bhava and Dr Manikandan. However, the NetRUM should be there in the title.

The newsletter can be named as: 'Rational Medicines - A Newsletter of NetRUM' or as 'Issues in Rational Use of Medicines'. If you would like to distribute the copies of newsletter to pharma students also then I can offer my member list of the forum and the group Pharma_World for this which total up to around 1000 Pharma students.

Dr. Bharat Gajjar: The best suitable name seems 'Newsletter from NetRUM'. It serves our purpose in both ways. First, it is a newsletter for promotion of rational use of medicines. Second, it is published by- 'NetRUM'- the group.

The recommendation of Bhava Narayana and A. Rehman Nagori is also accepted to make the PDF of NetRUM newsletter available to both for further transmission.

These decisions have concurrence of management team of NetRUM.

I wish to thank all those members who have furnished their fresh suggestions for the name/title of our monthly newsletter. However I wish to reproduce below what I have stated in my earlier post yesterday (bearing No. 6888).

"After consideration of the recommendations from our learned members, we have agreed to the name of "NETRUM NEWSLETTER" from the current issue. This was chosen because other similar publications also have similar titles like: INRUD newsletter, ADRAC newsletter, Canadian ADR newsletter, DSPRUD newsletter etc.......These decisions have concurrence of management team of NetRUM. " As such there is little scope for further discussion on this aspect since the title has already been finalized and used in January issue of the newsletter. Still I deeply appreciate the views expressed by our learned members and place my humble request on record for continued guidance, participation and cooperation for the improvement of the newsletter.

After consideration of recommendations from our esteemed members, we have agreed to the name “NetRUM Newsletter†from the current issue. This was chosen because other publications also have titles of the newsletters like: INRUD newsletter, ADRAC newsletter, Canadian ADR newsletter, DSPURD newsletter etc;

The recommendation of Bhava Narayana and A. Rehman Nagori is also accepted to make the PDF of NetRUM newsletter available to both for further transmission.

These decisions have concurrence of management team of NetRUM.

I wish to thank all those members who have furnished their fresh suggestions for the name/title of our monthly newsletter. However I wish to reproduce below what I have stated in my earlier post yesterday (bearing No. 6888).

"After consideration of the recommendations from our learned members, we have agreed to the name of "NETRUM NEWSLETTER" from the current issue. This was chosen because other similar publications also have similar titles like: INRUD newsletter, ADRAC newsletter, Canadian ADR newsletter, DSPRUD newsletter etc.......These decisions have concurrence of management team of NetRUM. " As such the title has already been finalized and used in January issue of the newsletter. Still I deeply appreciate the views expressed by our learned members and place my humble request on record for continued guidance, participation and cooperation for the improvement of the newsletter.

Here is opinion of our learned members regarding naming the monthly bulletin of NetRUM. OPINIONS OF MEMBERS ABOUT NAMING THE BULLETIN OF NetRUM

Dr. S. Manikandan: The cover page of our newsletter reads "Monthly Newsletter of Network for Rational Use of Medicines". Instead of this coin a good name for the newsletter.

Sh. Bhava Narayana: The news letter should be named “NetRUM-News letter on rational use of medicinesâ€. We should take the news letter beyond the members. I offer my databases of 5000 hospitals and doctors. We should ensure NetRUM is known to every doctor in India , at least. We should lead in the rational use of medicines. Irrational prescribing and improper use of Antibiotics poses the biggest health care challenge in India . The content of the news letter should reflect the discussions held and conclusions. The moderator is expected to deliver an article for international audience. Members’ names in this article may be withdrawn for holding readers attention.

Dr. Anupama Sukhlecha: I agree with the suggestions of Mr Bhava and Dr Manikandan. However, the NetRUM should be there in the title. Dr.K.Srisailam: “Rational drug use - a monthly newsletter from NetRUMâ€A.Rehman Nagori: The newsletter can be named as: 'Rational Medicines - A Newsletter of NetRUM' or as 'Issues in Rational Use of Medicines'. If you would like to distribute the copies of newsletter to pharma students also then I can offer my member list of the forum and the group Pharma_World for this which total up to around 1000 Pharma students. Dr. Bharat Gajjar: The best suitable name seems 'Newsletter from NetRUM'. It serves our purpose in both ways. First, it is a newsletter for promotion of rational use of medicines.
