Guest guest
Thanks, ! I'll look up Dr. Shy. Right on, ! I, too, do Nat'l Park hiking (just completed in June Mt. Rushmore & Black Hills, Badlands in So. Dakota, and Devils Tower in Wyoming.) Even on the trails marked for handicap access, it's always a struggle, true. But... I take my cane or walking staff and go a little bit, then rest. Go some more, and rest. Sure it takes me a little while more than most but the summit or scenic lookout it always worth it. When the tanned and sinewy hikers make to the place where I'm standing or (lounging) there's always an appreciative comradery as they seem to intuit that all present took a long, difficult route ... no matter what our personal efforts... That volunteers painstakingly cleared those trails so folks with disabilities could view creation with awe is a testament to humane commitment to inclusion. I, for one, will honor it, even with painful legs and feet...for the exhilaration of being alive to see profound beauty is such a rush! in Newington
